Key Responsibilities
Work with the Player Programs group to create and implement initiatives to train and educate players in the Arriba en el Conteo, First-Year Player & Parent Orientation, Joint MLB-MLBPA DR Rookie Program and other related workshops.
Support programmatic efforts to educate players and Clubs on conduct covered by all MLB policies, including the Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policies, the MLB Social Media Policy, the MLB Anti-Hazing/Bullying Policy, Workplace Code of Conduct, MLB Sports Betting Policy, and more.
Work with Baseball Operations, Registration, and other related departments to support educational initiatives.
Translate programming and training material for related initiatives.
Liaison with Clubs to ensure Formal Education Program runs effectively.
Collaborate with department members in the Dominican Republic to support community service initiatives.
Travel when needed to conduct similar programs in the US.
Develop and implement academic programs.
Desired Skills
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Must be a college graduate
Certification and/or significant experience as an educator
A high level of discretion, including the ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and responsible manner
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must work well independently and collaboratively
Experience organizing and facilitating conferences/events and on-field baseball events
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
In-depth knowledge of baseball preferred.
